Michel Camilo’s great tune “Not Yet” has always been a favorite of mine to feature in my live shows. I heard Michel’s sextet at a club named Mikell’s with my two brothers when I first moved to New York. Seeing his group with the late great Lou Solof , Chris Hunter, Dave Weckl, Anthony Jackson and Tommy Figueroa was an important and inspirational event in my young musical life.
